I am a family physician to the core. I love connecting and caring for families, while trying to balance raising my own. When I initially entered medical school, I thought for sure that I would be a pediatrician as I have always loved children, but found that family medicine gave me the ability to support the entire family throughout their lives.
I believe in a strong patient physician relationship. Part of my job as your physician is to help you wade through the endless stream of information about your health and help you make an informed decision that fits with your personal situation.
I love finding creative ways for you to balance your life with healthy habits. I find I operate my best when I am fueling myself well and moving my body joyfully. I love nearly any type of exercise, and enjoy finding delicious healthy food that I can add to my diet so that I can eat healthy while still enjoying what I eat.
I am a certified eating disorder specialist, which happened somewhat by accident. I am thankful that I was able to be trained by some of the best physicians in the world when it comes to caring for the medical needs of patients who struggle with anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, ARFID, and others.
I am a graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University with a B.S. in Biology and Spanish (and am still proficient in conversational Spanish). I attended the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City. I made it to Denver as fast as I could when I was accepted to residency at Swedish Family Medicine Residency in Littleton, CO.
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my husband and 2 children. We love to hike, camp, ski, watch movies, read, cheer for Husker football, Denver Broncos, and Colorado Rockies, and spend time together.
